I don't trust that diagnosis, send your pc home for a weekend with Adam, I'd like to run my own diagnostics on it before taking that for an answer...
Barrow Adams notebook lol... |

Sorry i've been MIA.
I read a lot, so i know what to buy and what to stay away from.
Don't get me wrong, MSI is great, but like Jeremey said, they are noobish :p
Unless we're talking Video Cards. I have a problem with all the different brands, buy the cheapest one, they're all the same. The use a reference design that nvidia came up with. 99% of the time, foxconn makes the hardware and XFX, eVGA, BFG, MSI, Asus and any other video card mfg just puts they're sticker on the card. Some change the bios, overclock the cards or put different fancy coolers on them. What it boils down to is the same card, with the same chip.
I bought the MSI 8800GTX because it was the cheapest, then again MSI are a bunch of noob sticks and put the sticker on the cooler on wrong. Which covered the holes and caused it to run hot. I pulled the junk HSF off and put a real one on it (Thermalright HR-03+).
I'd take the MSI P35 Neo2 over that Asus P5K SE any day. (SE is the junk version)
PCI-E 2.0, meh.. just less power. All the new cards are using it, so you mise well get one.
Good HSF? Thermalright is the best, but expensive. Thermaltake makes some decent ones. Tuniq is also great.
Here are some: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835154001

Those are the best IMHO, others will swear by zalman or artic cooling. Really up to you, just make sure it says it will work with a Core 2 Quad. |

Looks good, I think you'll love it... I would have taken a different cpu heatsink but like Wes said, it's what you want. I check the mainboard and it looks like you'll have plenty of room to mount that.
How much did you get out of your old system? |

Kevin, Looks good. I'm not a huge fan of that video card, just because its not the new G92 chipset, but i can understand if you don't have the extra cash or whatever the reasons are.
Other than that, should be a solid gaming rig!
btw, I have 2 sets of the same memory. Good choice. |

My "upgrades" are looking to be about as much as your computer though. |
