Smart For Two VS Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I would wear a helmet driving this Smart car. I hate to see a full size truck smack it. Keep in mind type of accident is rare.
For how light car is 1,808 lbs should be better than 33 City/41 highway mpg. That just blows

2010 Mercury Milan Hybrid gets 41 city/36 hwy mpg. [bm]

Seems like a much safer car. But I'm sure cost more $$ than Smart For Two. The city driving impressive, plus is 4/5 person car.
